Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ34Z100, GPCCHEM
Hi
We are using BQ34Z100-G1 to monitor a 2 cell Lithium Titanite battery (7.2V / 13 AH) in our design.
We understand that LiTO battery being used is not supported by BQ34Z100. For our testing purpose, we have spoofed the Battery Management Studio by programming the chemical ID of SAFT MP 176065 xlr (1576) which has the similar low temperature characteristics to the LiTO battery used by us.
The battery monitor system has performed reasonably well over the past couple of months, but it circuit is still a hack. I would appreciate if address our following concerns:
- Could we use BQ34Z100-G1 to monitor the Lithium Titanite battery ?
- If answer is no, are there any alternative available form TI?
Regards,
Ajay
