TPS560430: Regarding input / output voltage difference

Part Number: TPS560430

Hi,

On the TPS560430XF, set Rfbt = 100KΩ and Rfb = 10KΩ and set the output voltage to 11V.

The maximum output current is 100mA or less.

What is the minimum voltage value at the 5pin Vin terminal in such usage?

Is 11.4V all right?

I will attach the circuit diagram

Best regards,

  • Hi,

I think there is small voltage difference between VIN and VOUT when the input is reduced to close to 11V.

It depends on your efficiency and inductor selection. If you have a strict requirement to be at 11.4V input and 11V output then you may want to check the EVM whether your component selection is ok. The part will not shut down to 0V when the input goes to 11V, it will just reduced the output voltage accordingly. You can check the datasheet figure 11 to see how it behaves with 5V output

    Thanks
