TPS2595: Hot-swap device recommendation

Part Number: TPS2595

Hello,

My customer would like to use the TPS259541DSG for hot-swap device under the following conditions.

  - VIN = 12V

  - Operating Current = 2~3A

  - Current limit : 3.5A or less

Is the TPS259541DSG the right device?

Could you please recommend it if there is a more suitable device ?

    Hi JH,

    From your Input Voltage, Load current and current limit specifications TPS2595 is a good fit.

    I would be able to help you better if you can give more details on the protection features required for your application like - reverse current blocking, Input reverse polarity protection, etc..
