WEBENCH® Tools/TPS546D24: TPS546D24 WEBBENCH design

Part Number: TPS546D24

Tool/software: WEBENCH® Design Tools

Hi,

I use WEBBENCH to generate the schematic for my power circuit to generate 0.84V using TPS546D24. However, my output is only 0.79V.  Is anyone familiar with this part to help?

My design parameters:

- Input: 11.4V to 12.6V

- Output: 0.84V

- Output current: 35A

- Switching frequency: 500Khz

The WeBench file that you've shared is designed for the TPS546D24A and not the TPS546D24

While the TPS546D24 and TPS546D24A are largely pin to pin compatible, they have different Pin Detection decode functions.

For the TPS546D24A, the VSEL programming option for VOUT = 0.84V is Rtop = 86.6k and Rbot = 26.1k

For the TPS546D24, the VSEL programming option for VOUT = 0.84V is Rtop = 187k and Tbot = 44.2k

The greater concern with using pin programming for the TPS546D24A on the TPS546D24 device is the COMPENSATION_CONFIG options, and whether the loop is reliably stable.  It would be best to switch from the TPS546D24 to the TPS546D24A.
