VOUT modulation through a PWM signal into the FB

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: LM61440, LM76003

hi,

I'm looking for a suitable 36Vin, 12Vout, 3A out buck converter with the ability to change the output while superimposing a DC signal on the FB divider.

the DC signal will be the average (LP) output of a PWM input.

I'm looking at the new LM7600x.

Do you see any drawback in such implementation?

thansk a lot in advance

  • Hi Vincenzo,

Also consider our new LM61440 low EMI converter family. But if you need 60V input, then the LM76003 is the way to go. Adjusting VOUT by injecting a current into FB should be fine -- just verify compensation at the Vout extremes as effective value of ceramic Cout reduces with voltage.
