TPS50601A-SP: Buck Converter Calculator Tool and Datasheet parameter discrepancy

Part Number: TPS50601A-SP
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS50601-SP,

Hello Guys,

A customer of ours noticed that the Enable pin input current (Ip) used on the datasheet on page 19 is 3.2uA while that on the "Buck Calculator excel Tool" its 6.1uA (cell B89).

They wanted to confirm if this is not a mistake and which is the right value to use for calculating the Vstart and Vstop condition?

Here is the link to the TPS50601-SP Buck Calculator Tool -

Thanks in advance!

  • Hi Art,

It looks like they may be looking at the datasheet for the TPS50601-SP, but using the TPS50601A-SP design calculator. The TPS50601A-SP has an EN pin Input Current (Ip) of 6.1 uA. Can you check if they are using the datasheet and device calculator for the correct device?

    Thank you,

    Sarah
