TL431: Using for voltages over 36 volts

Hi.

I am currently using a TL431 with around 30V in this schematic:

I want to use TL431 for voltage over 36V. Is there a use case for this? Will the circuit with two TL431 work? (something like this):

Stacking will allow getting past the absolute max voltage rating but if you can specify the intended use we could check if the setup will achieve the objectives. Can you please share more details?

That is correct. Just some advice, not every stage needs a capacitor.

What is the reason for needing such a high voltage and precision?

I don't have the final scheme yet, but here are some details:

I want to use TL431 in a powerful bipolar power supply. Because heating is possible there, I want to get thermal stability. And also have the ability to adjust to get the same voltage at the + - output.
