TPS63001: Quiescent current of 3.76mA with or without load

Part Number: TPS63001

Hi there,

I am using TPS63001DRCR for a LiIon battery powerd device. TPS63001DRCR is basically converting my varying battery voltage to constant 3.3V.
Since my device is battery powered and I want my devices battery to last for few months at-least, I picked up this IC because It's Quiescent current is in uA and efficiency is suppose to be 96%

I have made a custom PCB for my device, following is the schematic

With Load the current consumption from battery is 5.2 mA with supply voltage of 3.87 V

My load takes up 1.5 mA with supply voltage of 3.3 V

So input power is: 20 mW and Output power is: 4.95 mW

Which is an efficiency of 24.75% (!!)

When the current usage was checked without load, just the circuit of TPS63001DRCR was taking up 3.76 mA which is the power usage of 14.5 mW

If you take away power usage of TPS63001DRCR from input power, the input power used by circuit to power the load is 5.5 mW. Which makes the efficiency 90% which is pretty awesome.

So can you let me know what could be wrong in my circuit which is making the power usage of TPS63001DRCR so freaking high or possible things which could be wrong so that I can reduce the power usage of that circuit and bring the efficiency to 90% range?

Thanks!

Best,
