LM61440: How to minimize the noise from some LM61440 Buck regulators

Part Number: LM61440

My Power Supply System contain 4 pcs. LM61440 Buck regulators.
Let's assume each regulator individually already optimized for the low noise operation.
The question's how to minimize the noise when all 4 regulators are working together.
I see one option only is to use external sync. input to create situation when
regulators working at the same frequency but switches at the different time.
What do you think about ?

  • Hi Alex,

Yes you can have the converters externally synchronized and phase shifted such that it switches at different time.

Also with all rails synchronized to a defined switching frequency, you can create an input filter to help attenuate the fundamental frequency more easily.
