Hello Team,

we are using the LM5060 as input protection. The circuit is for 12V input voltage and according to Fig 1 in the datasheet. We see rare parts returned failing to start up, ie enabling the part and the gate voltage breaks down or does not come up. The application is dual channel with identical setup, but only one channel fails in the case. The recommendations as in Fig 42/43 are also met. Can you give advice?

    Can you please share the schematics to look at and block diagram of your system.

    What kind of failures are seen on the returned parts.? which pins and what level of impedances are seen ?

    Hello Rakesh,

    I can send you schematic and details. Can you provide a contact address?

    The failure on the returned parts are such that the part does not turn on properly. UV/OV and En functions are ok, the turn-on process fails. The voltatge at gate pin does not rise properly and is after short time reset (eg timeout), but the value varies at defect. There are no shorts to Gnd at the part pins.
