  • HI Cedrick,

Unfortunately, We do not have a device similar to LM74700 which has storage temp. as low as -54C.

Can you help us understand from where does this requirement come up in customer application ?

  • Hi Cedrik,

Can you share more information about this request.

    • How long is the target storage at -54C?
    • LM74700 are released in DDF & DBV package, please specify which version.
    • Are they looking to do storage as standalone device (which is unlikely) or as mounted unit on the application board?

  • Hello Praveen,

    Thank you for your response.

I've just receive an update from our customer. He told us that unfortunately, they cannot share the specific requirements about duration of storage time, but I believe this would be mounted on a board. Furthermore, they want to know if we have a similar product that would be rated to -50C instead? They are curious if the extra 4C would make any difference.

    Have a great day.

    Regards,

    Cedrick

  • Hi Cedrick,

Does customer has a package constraint ? Are they okay with any of DDF or DBV package ?

  • Hello Praveen,

I've just got an update from our customer. They said that DBV package would be fine but they don't think there are constraints between the two options you showed.

Looking forward to your suggestions. Thank you.

    Cedrick

  • Hi Cedrick,

I am interacting with our internal team on the possibility of characterizing  the LM74700 DDF package at -55C. Let me update you regrading the possibility of this and the estimated timelines.

Can you let us know by when customer requires samples of this device ?

  • Hi Praveen,

Our customer wouldn't need sample of this device, more just looking for a confirmation if the component will be able to operate after storage at -50C.

    Thank you.

    Regards,

    Cedrick

  • Hi Cedric,

    Please see latest update below,

For LM74700QDBV, it is okay to store the devices on -55C temperature but should be in completely unbiased conditions. Even if on their application board, the board shouldn’t be powered. Before device can be powered up, they need to ensure it is brought in to the actual data sheet operating temperature conditions with sufficient soaking time and then only attempt a power up.
