BQ76952: About Setting: Configuration Vcell Mode with all bit set to zero.

Hi team,

I notice the Reference manual section 13.3.2.19 (page 157) mentioned ----- if all Vcell Mode bits are cleared, then all inputs are considered as cell connections.

How to comprehend this description, I mean if I left this setting remain default, the chip will consider all cell present or not?

Please help answer the above question, thanks!

Hi Yao,

Yes, by default this register is all zeros. All zeros tells the device to use it's factory default settings which is all cell inputs are enabled. So all zero's is actually the same as if you write 0xFFFF.

If you want to use less than 16 cells, then you need to write a different value to this register. Otherwise, you can leave it as the default setting.
