What is the issue you are seeing? You should be able to remove the fuel gauge from the thermal zone if thats needed.

Once I don't load the Guage IC driver, it looks normal.

Although I don't think these differences will affect CPU thermal, I still replace the code you provided with our BSP.

But the result is the same. As long as the driver matches, the channel will be occupied.

If I comment out the device tree for BQ27742, the channel will not be occupied.

# cat /sys/class/thermal/thermal_zone0/type
imx_thermal_zone

The CPU FAE told me to consult you...

So I guess, is it OK to disable the internal temperature sensor of BQ27742?
