BQ27541 question (SOC, SOH, device name, etc..)

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ27541-G1, BQ27541

Hello~

I'm writing the some questions for BQ27541-G1.

Test condition & status are as below.

  • Battery specification
  • Test board, tool & Software
    • BQ27541EVM
    • GaugeStudio 1.0.0
    • EV2300-002
    • HDQ interface

Questions

  1. GaugeStudio display the device name as BQ27545, not BQ27541.
  2. SOC(State of Charge) / SOH(State of Health)valuesdoes not change.  Regardless of the cell capacity (Full-charged, Full-discharged) is always read as 100% & 0%.
    - Full Charged

    - Full Discharged

  3. Would you please let me know which we do something wrong?

Below is DataMemory value.  This is for your information.

  • It looks like either the wrong Gauge Studio is being used or the wrong firmware has been programmed to the gauge. First of all, download and install Gauge Studio again from the following link:

    http://www.ti.com/litv/zip/sluc424b

Next we are going to update the firmware in the gauge. Open up Gauge Studio with the EVM connected, go to the Firmware tab, browse to the location you dowloaded the attached SENC file to and select the file, and click Program to Gauge. Then, close and reopen Gauge Studio and see if that corrects your problem.
