TPS53317A: about REFIN

Part Number: TPS53317A
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TL431,

Hi,

I have created a circuit to power SSLT2 using TPS 53317A.
My circuit has problems.
Since the DCDC Buck on the input side of TPS 53317 A can not be sink, the input voltage (2.5 V) of TSP 53317 A increases.

I am considering the following contents to solve the problem. Is there a problem?
1. Increase 2.5 V to 3.3 V.
2. Connect TL431 (2.5 VREF) to 3.3V.
3. The REF voltage (2.5 V) of TL 431 is divided to 1.25 V at 10 kΩ.
4. Input 1.25 V to the REFIN pin.

Best Regards,

  • Hi,

I'm not sure if I understand your question. I think it depends on how the sink behavior starts. If the input voltage still increase because of no sink capability, REFIN will not increase, but I'm not sure if it can stop TPS53317A from sinking negative current from load side.

    Regards,
