TPS55010: TPS55010 not output

Hi Betty,

On the parts that are not starting up it would be good to also check the RT/CLK voltage, the BOOT-PH voltage and the COMP voltage. The RT/CLK pin voltage should come up to ~0.5 V to set the fsw and the BOOT-PH voltage come up to ~VIN to provide gate drive for the HS FET. The COMP voltage may provide a clue what the TPS55010 is trying today.

It is NOT recommended to probe the RT/CLK pin while the part is switching. Probing the RT/CLK pin can put a lot of noise on the RT/CLK pin resulting in erratic switching behavior.

Can you share the schematic for this board?

thanks for your fast reply.

yesterday, I use probe of scope check the RT/CLK when device working, the part was burn out.......

I also check the Boot-PH voltage, it is about 0V, and COMP voltage also 0V. I also check the primary voltage of transformer, it is 0V., but it should be 2.1V.

I will check RT/CLK voltage and give you feedback.

Based on these voltages you measured, it seems like the part is not getting enabled normally. Have you checked for any assembly issues causing some of the pins to be open or shorted?

I didn't found any short or open issue, but it may be a problem, because some board can work properly.

one more question is that customer said that TPS55010 often burn out when working. Do you have comments?
