LMR62014: LMR62014 O/P NOT PROPER

Hi all

This is Sudharshan

I m using LMR62014 for 5V To 9V boost conversion .Load current is 500mA

I used the same application circuit given in datasheet .

Input is 5V , But o/p is oscillating between 9V- 12V ,Not proper o/p expected .I monitored the output pin in scope it seems like pulse waveform

I need a clarity on this ,since i followed all recommendations kept the o/p capacitors close to output .The IC is assembled with external components on a General purpose PCB

Kindly guide me to resolve this use

Thanks for the response

schematic is same as per datasheet ,but layout i assembled in dot board manually to check performance of the IC.Same schematic below but R1 and R2 values are 470 k and 12k ,as per calculations.

Hi Sudharshan,

The layout is really important for DCDC switching converters. Using man-made dot board may cause the device not working normally. Can you show me the hardware picture of your dot board?

If you want to get a 9V output voltage, R1 and R2 values should be 76k and 12k per calculation: Vout= Vref * (1+R1/R2).
