LMZM33603: output capacitance

Hi team, 

The datasheet states max output capacitance of 200uF at 5Vout, however my customer's 5V rail has a module that may require an additional 470uF of capacitance.  Will the LMZM33603 tolerate this?

    Hi Viktorija,

    The issue here is that if the output capacitance exceeds the maximum recommended, there may be a output short fault issue during startup. Large output capacitance will require longer time for output voltage to regulate to final value. If VOUT takes too long to ramp up to final voltage, the internal converter interprets this as a potential output short fault. 

    What is your customer's power application? I'd recommend looking at another power module such as the LMZ31710 for starter since this power module allows for larger output capacitance.
