TPS2561: Minimum Output ESR (current swing with freq. below deglitch time)

Hi Team,

My question concerns the output of the system.

I would like to know if there is a minimum required output ESR when working with ceramic caps instead of Elkos; So that the output current swing wont be so fast that the the deglitch circuit will keep the fault pin from asserting.

    so there is not minimum ESR for the output caps?

    I was just wondering because the datasheet states: "Output capacitance is not required, but placing a high-value electrolytic capacitor on the output pin is recommended when large transient currents are expected on the output."

    The reason to place high value capacitor is to stable the input and output voltage.

    As with heavy load suddenly, the input and output voltage may be dropped which may influence the system working.

    So it usually adds some caps to stable the voltage.

    According to your application, you decide the volume of the cap.

    For our new power switch products, we usually add ceramic cap instead of electrolytic cap. Both are fine.

    What do you mean the fault assert concern?
