TPS62120: Power consumption while no load on Vout

Part Number: TPS62120

Hey,

We are currently using the TPS62120 for getting our Vin of 12V to 3.3V voltage.

The application consists of a microcontroller which reads out some sensors. The controller is put to sleep for some time, wakes up, reads the sensors, and is put to sleep again.

The idea is to use as less power as possible during sleeping.

We tested the TPS for its power consumption as we put no other component on the pcb but the recommended design layout:

The powerconsumption is measured with a shunt and a oszi.

The average consumption is 370uA at 12V, tested without any load on the Vout.

This seems quite a lot. Where does this come from? There is no current going into the output.

Any suggestions on getting lest consumption?

Thank you very much
