[FAQ] LM25118EVAL: Changing output voltage of LM25118EVAL

Part Number: LM25118EVAL

I need to change the output voltage of the LM25118EVAL board to 28V. What components need to be changed in order to do this?

I have tried changing R8 and R9 to 22k and 1k (respectively), but this did not work. The output voltage is 0.28V. With R5 removed, with VCCX connected to GND, current limit on the input supply was hit.

What other components will need to be changed?

  • Hello Stephen,

I will loop in the applications engineer supporting this part.

Please expect a response sometime tomorrow.

    Cheers,
    Denislav

  • Hi Stephen,

You need to change a few more parts to make it work for  your 28V output.

    (1)  C7 and C8 must be changed to capacitors rated 35V or higher

    (2) C9, C10, C11 and C12 must be changed parts rated to 50V or higher

    (3)  Increase R8 to 26.7k

    (4)  Increased R14 to 1.24k

    (5) keep R9 at 100 Ohm

    (6) Increase R10 to 100k

    (7) Reduce C22 to 10nF

    (8) Reduce C15 to 220pF.

Then you should get the right operation.

    Thanks,
