Hi Team,

I received the following request, could you assist?

We use LM5163-Q1 to convert the battery 24V into regulated 5V.

The datasheet indicates the following consumption in "low power":

–10.5-μA no-load input quiescent current

–3-μA shutdown quiescent current

Could you confirm that with the “10.5-μA no-load input quiescent current” the converter (powered by 24V battery) is able to keep the regulated voltage of 5V active?

In fact, we need to keep the microcontroller powered in sleep to be sensitive to some wake-up pulses.

Hello

Yes it will still regulate in sleep mode.

However, at higher input voltages, the sleep current will be higher.

Please see the curve in the data sheet.

Thanks. They have a uC(regulated at 5V) after the LM5163

The consumption of the microcontroller in sleep should be <100uA at room temperature and <400uA at 70 ° C
(They are required to comply with the quiescent requirements even in temperature)
