TPS2662: Suitable Output protection for wiring faults

Part Number: TPS2662
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TVS3300

Hi team,

To protect a user interface with digital and analog in- and outputs from wiring faults my customer is in search of a suitable device.

For this task they use a number of eFuses from the type TPS26624 together with the flat-clamp devices TVS3300. Initially they thought that the analog voltage output 0 to 10V could be protected with such eFuse. This is however not possible because the eFuse is supplied from the signal to protect and therefore this does not work for output voltages below 4.5V which is the lower limit of the eFuse. Thus the question:

Does TI have eFuses with a separate supply or any other low cost solution to protect analog output signal coming from an opamp against wrong wiring? The result of wrong wiring can be a voltage of 24V*1.1 = 26.4V and the negative value -26.4V.

Thanks for the support.

Obinna.
