Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQ25601D
Assuming the VBUS and VAC pins are tied together and BATSNS is unconnected on a given board, is there any reason why the BQ25611D would not be directly replaceable (i.e. "drop-in") for the BQ25601D?

Hi Bryan,
You are correct about VAC and VBUS. However, BATSNS cannot be left unconnected as it is the sense point for battery regulation, unlike BAT pin, which is sense point and current output, in 601D. Also, several of the I2C registers are different.

Hi Jeff,
Thanks for the reply. I do have a follow-up question, per the "Pin Functions" table of the 611D datasheet, "If BATSNS pin is open or short to ground, BATSNS_STAT bit is set to 1 and charger regulates the battery voltage through BAT pin." Are you saying the datasheet is incorrect, am I interpreting it incorrectly or is there a caveat to the situation?
Bryan
Bryan,
Will get back to you during business hours in the next week.
Thanks,
Ning.
