TPS65132: I2C communication

Hi team,

My customer is considering to use the TPS65132W with +/-5.4V output. Could you please advise for the questions below?

(1) When using the default setting voltage value of ±5.4V, is I2C communication unnecessary?

(2) If I2C communication is not required, is it OK to leave the SCL and SDA pins unconnected(floating)?

Hello Yamaguchi-san,

A1 ----- No.

A2 ------ SCL/SDA should have a pull up resistor to Vin instead of being left floating. If you like, you can use one pull up resistor for both by tying SCL/SDA together and then pulling them up with a 10k resistor. This can be done because both SCL/SDA are open drain.

Sorry about the ambiguity. I2C communication is not needed when using default +/-5.4V.
