Part Number: BQ76952

Hi

Please help check the schematic of bq76952.

  • Hi Star,

It is hard to know how they may plan to populate the board for re-use.  See notes:

    • The top cell must be used for BQ76952, so R104 perhaps should not be installed and the short would be more appropriate at cell 13.
    • The Cc capacitors (C133, etc) are commonly 220 nF.
    • The right side of C141 should connect to GND rather than VC0 to avoid pushing VC0 below GND during a heavy load on the cells.
    • D120 is unusual, BQ76952 should not need the component, if it conducts from BAT pin load it may result in a low voltage report of cell 16.
    • A cap may be desired on the Q100 collector, it can avoid transients coupled through the transistor.
    • The REGIN cap C154 is recommended to be 22 nF
    • The BQ76952 data sheet does suggest a 10M pull down on BREG if shutdown is used.
    •  If REG2 is not used it does not need a cap, it would not be configured.
    • ALERT does not need the pull down R312, but the designer may want it for their system use.
    • TS1 and TS2 should not go much above 1.8V if used for thermistor or ADC inputs.  The D310 and D323 ratings seem high.  A small capacitor may be used for transient suppression, see the data sheet
    • The FET outputs are not shown connected, but CP1 is supported.  If not needed CP1 can be shorted to BAT pin.
    • PACK is an input and should be connected either low or through a 10k resistor to a high voltage.
    • LD has several functions, it may be controlled or tied low or to a high voltage through a 10k resistor.
    • FUSE has an input function, if not used the pin might be connected to VSS to avoid the status changing when the pin floats.
