LM63610-Q1: Spread Spectrum Subharmonics

Part Number: LM63610-Q1

On the LM63610DQPWPRQ1 is spread spectrum enabled?  The data sheet seems indicate an option/enable but there is only one part number in the current data sheet.

Related to that..my real question is about subharmonics.
I have a bit more complicated application where I have to do some additional stability compensation.
I am seeing some oscillation/periodic noise in the range 5-20 Khz and I am starting to wonder if it is possible to see the sideband of the frequency modulation of the spread spectrum.
I am using the part at 250Khz, so at 3.5%, that is 7.5Khz.
Bottom line is, can I expect that there would be some noise that is a beat down from the modulation?  Or has this been handled somehow?

Thanks

Glen

  • HI

LM63610 spread is enabled, you can do FFT analysis for Vo ripple , see any similar frequency noise in it.

Another way is try to synchronous the frequency by external clock, the spread spectrum may be not work. if you wan to me double confirm it, I can check internally.

    Thanks
