BQ25619: BQ25619 boost output short protection principle

Part Number: BQ25619

Hi Team,

Customer want to add boost output short to GND protection, so they need to know more detail about our BQ25619 output protect when Boost is enabled and use PMID to output the boost voltage, short PMID to GND.

I see during my test of the above condition, if I short the EVM VPB to GND, after a several second, the BST_CONFIG bit will clear; while if I short the EMM VPB to GND for a very short time, then let it back to normal, the BST_CONFIG, will not clear. Could you help share the more detailed internal Boost short to GND protection principles? How will our part behave when Boost output is short to GND? Thanks.

Thanks,

Will
