Simulations are not yet enabled on WEBENCH for this device. We have added this in our pipeline and planned it for the second quarter of the year. For immediate reference, We have PSPICE model available for the device on ti.com. We have configured the PSPICE model for running the load transient testbench. PFA the same:

For Vin: 4.1V~6.0V, Vout: 5.1V with Iout=3.5A input condition,

We are able to replicate the reported issue. We are currently debugging to verify if its valid. We shall keep you updated on the same.

I would like to use a following components for the design. Would you please give your comments whether it will work fine.

 Vin: 4.1V~6.0V, Vout: 5.1V with Iout=3.5A, fsw=1~2MHz

- L: MDMK4040T1R2(1.2uH)
- FET: SSM6K513NU

Hi Fujiwara,

We are still debugging to verify if it's valid failure for above mentioned input conditions. Earlier as frequency of operation was not mentioned to us we had taken default fsw as 400kHz as set in the WEBENCH model and debugging it. We will verify the designs for fsw 1-2MHz and will get back to you by Mid of next Week with the updates.

It means device is unstable for these conditions at existing for real? Or Webench cannot simulate these conditions? Which one is correct? If this device cannot work for real, would you please suggest other device?

If device will be working in stable for real, would you please give your comments whether these components(L&FET) will be fit for these conditions or not?

Hi Fujiwara-san,

To answer specific queries, For your input condition (Vin: 4.1V~6.0V, Vout: 5.1V with Iout=3.5A, fsw=1,2MHz) the design is unstable on Webench. Kindly note that Webench models are closely matched with bench data when these are released. 

Alternatively we can use excel calculator as well (attached below)

It will be difficult to comment on alternate component you have suggested, as on Webench design is not created due to stability issue. I have moved post to product experts group for further assistance so that alternate device can be suggested.
