BQ76942: Safety alert A register doesn't work

Hi Team,

I'm testing BQ76942, and for the CUV and COV protect function, I find the safety status A register could show the normally, but the safety alert A register doesn't work, it keep all zero when CUV and COV happen. I have tried changing the setting:alartm:SF Alert Mask A register, but still keep the same result. could you help check about this point?

Hi Will,

This behavior is correct. When a COV condition occurs, first the COV bit goes high in the Safety Alert register. After the COV event is high for the COV Delay time, it will go low in the Safety Alert register and go high in the Safety Status register. See Table 5-10 in the BQ76952 Technical Reference Manual.
