Hello,

I need help using it TPS2116 with MSP430F6736A

I have 3 sources of power, 1. Main power 2. Battery and 3. Gold Cap.

the battery and gold cap for backup power, I will connect the VOUT (TPS2116) on AUXVCC1 (MSP430F6736A)

Hi Amr,

TPS2116 is built to mux between two sources. One TPS2116 device cannot MUX between three sources.

One potential workaround is to use two TPS2116 devices in series. The first TPS2116 is to MUX between Battery and Gold Cap. The output of this MUX can be one of the input on the second MUX. The other input would be the main power source. The output of the second device could then be sent to the MSP430.
