bq27441DRZR-G1A chemistry id update with bq studio

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO, GPCCHEM

hello

I want to perform the bq27441DRZR-G1A chemistry id process using bq studio 1.2.52.1

Query: fuel gauge bq27441DRZR-G1A  and using the battery is 3.6V @ 1600mAh LI-Ion /Li-poly 5.76W

chemistry id supported for this fuel gauge with a battery? because I connect the fuel gauge with bq studio but I not seen the chemistry id tab if I select different Guage this option is available.

thanks

-Nikunj

  • Hi Nikunj,

You cannot change the chemID for this gauge. The chemID for bq27441DRZR-G1A is 0x0128. I suggest using a different fuel gauge if you want to use a different chemID.

    Best,

    Jessica

  • Hello Nikunj,

This gauge is a ROM based gauge, the chem ID tab is not in bqStudio for this gauge because you cannot change the chem ID. The chem ID is based on the part number (G1A, G1B, etc)

If you want to test if the default ID for the G1A is a good fit for your battery you can submit data following the GPCCHEM tool to make sure it is a good match for your battery, or if you will need a flash based gauge to program a better fitting chem ID.

    Sincerely,
