BQ76942: OCD recovery

Hi,

            According to BQ76942 TRM,  device will recover from OCD when a charging current is detected greater than certain value.  my customer think it is a non-traditional method(load remove) and wonder if there is another way can trigger this OCD recovery?

    Hi Yue,

    They can also recover based on time. The OCD Recovery Threshold can be set to a negative value - this way a charging current is not needed to recover. The Protections: Recovery: Time parameter can be set for the desired value to recover after a set period of time.
