TPS25947: PTS259474ARPWR does not auto-retry when power is overvoltage

Part Number: TPS25947

Hi team,

My customer, ABB test the samples PTPS259474LRPWR and PTS259474ARPWR. And they find that both of them do not auto-retry when power is overvoltage.

Besides, the mark on them are 2A7H and 2A2H, respectively. Which one is PTS259474ARPWR and which one is PTPS259474LRPWR?

Thanks a lot!

Best regards,

Wendy

  • Hi Wendy,

    Thanks for reaching out!

Do you mean that input voltage is above overvoltage lockout threshold? When input voltage is above overvoltage lockout threshold then both auto-retry and latch-off variants will remain off  until voltage goes below overvoltage lockout threshold.

To test which one is auto retry and which one is latch-off variant, set some current limit and apply overcurrent. The part will shutoff after timer due to overcurrent. Now auto retry variant will automatically start after 110ms  but latch-off variant will stay off.
