BQ25101: Status of CHG

Can you customer replicate this issue with a battery instead of load? This is what the device is intended to work with.

Confirm with the customer that the load is actually the battery, and the battery is connected to the motherboard.

Is this the normal working condition of BQ25101?

There is another problem. When the charging current is lower than 10% of the set charging current (set to about 30mA), the charging current should be cut off. But what is measured is that only the state of CHG is changed, and the charging current continues to decrease slowly.

There is some tolerance expected in termination current. Termination between 9-11% of fast charge is normal for this device at Riset = 2.7k, higher Riset will give a lower accuracy of termination.

Now set as follows ....

RISET = [K(ISET) / I(OUT)]
from electrical characteristics table. . . K(SET) = 135 AΩ
RISET = [135 AΩ/0.06 A] = 2.2 kΩ
Selecting the closest standard value, use a 2-kΩ resistor between ISET and Vss

Termination Current Threshold: %IOUT-FC = 10% of Fast Charge or ~6 mA

When the charging current is less than 6m, it does not stop and there is still current 

The current continues to slowly decrease to 2mA,

But CHG status has been notified that the charging is complete 

Why doesn’t it stop charging when <6mA? Is this normal?
