I would like to design BMS that control and monitor 7S LiPO battery (24Ah, about 28V (~4V each sell), discharge current - 50A).

This BMS must have active balancing circuit.

And it is desirable to work at standalone mode, without connection with microcontroller.

I would like to know, which TI chip (or chips) is suitable for this task.

Hi Anton,

For active balancing, we offer the emb1499 and EMB1428.

I am most familiar with our bq76pl455a (a 16 cell part) and the bq76pl536(a 6 cell part).

You may ask the gauging forum for a recommendation for the lower cell count devices. I know they offer more devices.
