In bq2407x (bq24072, bq24073, bq24074, bq24075, bq24079) datasheet "reverse current protection" is mentioned only once at the begining in section 1.Features.
Then in 8.1 Absolute Maximum Ratings: Vin from input is given as min -0.3V to max 28V and from battery from -0.3V to 5V which from common sence means either reverse connected input adapter or battery will abuse the maximum ratings.
Can't find so far even in the docs for similar chips about this "Reverse current protection" how and on which input(s) works, so will appreciate any help to point me to proper information or share some own experience about so called "Reverse current protection" with regards of attempts to connect wrong polarity adapter or battery?
Unless TI understand under "Reverse current protection" only reverse current from battery toward adapter when Vbat > Vin?
Thanks
