BqStudio can't auto detect bq34Z100EVM address correctly

I have a problem with BqStudio can't auto detect bq34Z100EVM address correctly.

I followed user guide to setup bq34Z100EVM board with Li-ion battery (3~4.2V), as figure below.

After I start BqStudio, It detect address as 0100_0_06. But there is only 0100_0_15 and 0100_0_16, as figure below.

How do I deal with this problem? Thank you for your assistance.

If you want to upgrade the bq34z100 to the bq34z100-G1, then you will open the bqStudio program. Select the 0100_0_16_bq34z100G1.bqz and page through the warning messages. Go to the Programming screen after the program opens.

• Search for the .srec file using the Browse button.
• Press the Program button and wait for the download to complete.
• Press the Execute FW button after the download has completed.
• Select File | Restart to initialize bqStudio to the new firmware.

bqStudio should find the device and open without any warning messages.

Hi,
I am having the same problem as described and I tried to locate the *.srec but I could not find the file. Any suggestion ?

You have to download and install the new Firmware for the bq34z100-G1.
A link to the firmware is on the website:
www.ti.com/.../toolssoftware

Direct link to the firmware file:

Have you downloaded it from the bq34z100-G1 website? You can store it on your computer and then search for the srec with the Browse button.

Hi Thomas,

I am facing the same issue as discussed above. I downloaded the latest firmware file sluc580.zip and browsed srec file from programming section. But still i am unable to execute the firmware. I get response as " failed to execute firmware - no acknowledgement from the device ".

Please help me out.
