BQ34Z100-G1: Voltage return not more than 0x7fff

Part Number: BQ34Z100-G1
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: BQSTUDIO,

Hi,

I use  BQ34Z100-G1 for battery gauging. The package is a 15-series Li-ion cell, so the voltage of the whole package will be above 60V.  According to the datasheet of Bq34Z100-g1, I designed a voltage divider network, with a lower leg resisiter of 14KOhm and a upper leg resister of 1Mohm, So a 65V voltage will feed 900mV to BQ34Z100-G1. But when I connect to a voltage about 58V, the voltage in BqStudio I get is 32767mV(0x7fff), I tried again with command, the data returned also 0x7fff. When I set Voltage Divider to a number below 32000, the voltage value will below 0x7fff. Obviously, the voltage value returned was below 0x8000. But in the datasheet, the value returned should be 0 to 65535mV.  I don't know how to solve this problem.

I will be appreciate for your help.

Yours,

Sun Yongzhi
