BQ28Z610: How to set the Design Capacity cWh: ??

Part Number: BQ28Z610

Hi TI guys:

my Battery is1S2P use the BQ28Z610

bat=4900mAh/P   Full bat. V=4300mV

how to set the cWh?

Design Capacity cWh:   ??

can you explain: what's cWh ?

thx.

  • cWH= Centiwatt hour. Convert to wat hour by multiplying the Ah by voltage. Then convert the obtain Wh by dividing by 100 to get cWh

    thanks

  • Hi Onyx:
    thanks for your reply.
    now I give you an example, would you please confirm that the cWh setting is corrert? thx
    There are two parallel batteries, each bat.=4900 mAh, bat.v=3700mV. full bat.v=4300mV.  follow your answers, the cWH will should be set 4.9*2*3.7/100=0.3626.Is this setting right? thx

    add the another question

    in the bq28z610 Technical Reference: 13.6.4 Design

    default set as below:
    Capacity mAh:  4400 mAh
    Capacity cWh:  6336 cwh
    Design Voltage:  7200 mV

    the equation should be as below:

    6336=4.4*7.2*200

  • Hi Jack,
    My math had an error. It is supposed to be cWH= Centiwatt hour. Convert to wat hour by multiplying the Ah by voltage. Then convert the obtain Wh by multiplying by 100 to get cWh.

    The TRM has that info wrong.

    For your case:
    4.9*2*3.7*100=3626cWh

    thanks
    Onyx
