BQ35100: bq35100 / SOH value in EOS mode

Hi,

Now the customer start to consider bq35100 and learn about EOS algorithm. The are considering Li-SOCl2 battery so they understand that the EOS mode should be used. Then can they get accurate SOH value at EOS mode also? Please let me also the reason that the EOS mode is recommended for Li-SOCl2 battery.

The EOS mode is recommended for LiSoCL2 cell because of the flatness of their voltage curve. No the gauge doesn't provide SOH in EOS mode.

Hi Onyx,

The bqStudio show SOH value as 100% but you mean that SOH is not provided in EOS mode so this should be ignored, right?

Hi Satoshi,
If you are using a chem id generated specifically for your cell then the SOH will be fairly correct when using the EOS mode. However if you are using the default chem id for the SOH while in EOS mode then you will have to ignore the SOH reading.
