UCD9244: UCD9244-FUSION design

Part Number: UCD9244
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: UCD7242

Hi Liu Jian,

        The customer is using UCD9244+UCD7242 for C6000 DSP. Need your support for FUSION configuration.

SYSTEM POWER _ POWER_DSP_CORE.pdf

UCD9244For6678 FOUR 1.0.xml

UCD9244 and 7242 for 6678 OUTPUT 1.xml

        There are four output rails.  With the attached UCD9244 and 7242 for 6678 OUTPUT1.xml, the output rails of DSP0 1V0 and DSP0 Vcore (=1V) are fine. However, DSP1 1V0 and DSP1 Vcore are always zero. With the attached UCD9244For6678 FOUR 1.0.xml, there is a little improvement. DSP0 1V0, DSP0 Vcore and DSP1 Vcore are fine. But, DSP1 1V0 is zero. I don’t understand why DSP1 Vcore is fine at this configuration. We need your support for,

  1. Could you pls provide a FUSION design?  The schematics are included in the attachment;
  2. Could you pls tell us the mistake in our FUSION design?

Thanks very much.

Below is the part number of output inductor and capacitor.

  • In order to analyze the problem, please go to GUI Monitor section, click the button "System Dashboard".

    Please save a screenshot of the Status Registers window. It will show fault flags of each rail, which indicates the reason the rail is not powered on.

    Also, you can compare the differences of the two configurations by using the  Device/Project Configuration Comparison tool under GUI->Tools.

    There are a number of differences, including the current sensing gain, VID settings, and feedback loop compensator. From the Design section, it appears that, the Rail 3 of the OUTPUT1.xml is not stable.You can enable "auto tune" function to get a stable loop compensator.
