REF5010: 10v, 100mA Precise Reference with REF5010

Hello,

I have to design a 10v@100mA precise reference with REF5010. But REF5010 can provide only 10mA current. I have modify the circuit for current boost. Simulation are good. Circuit diagram and simulation is also attached. All I need to know is, can REF5010 be operate in mode as shown in circuit diagram(or simulation).

In modified circuit REF5010 is used as in shunt mode. Datasheet only describe that REF5010 is series reference. So can REF5010 be used as in shunt mode?

Hi Zain,

This will work for both modes of operation.

Shunt mode operation is highlighted in our voltage reference E-book. You can find that here.

The current boosting circuit is a common topology that will work with our series references.
