TPS54821: Setting start & stop voltage for the regulator.

Hi Team,

I am planning to use TPS54821 regulator,This device is basically powered by battery of 7.4V,10AH capacity(max 8.4V) to get Vout=5V, 6A or 7A.

Now the concern is as the battery discharges its voltage drops gradually at that time the input to the regulator also will reduce.

I want to know what will be the minimum voltage required at input that is required to get 5V , 6A at regulator output?

Will this regulator give stable output even when the battery voltage is around 5.5V or 5.6V ?

And also how to set the start and stop voltage, to meet my requirement Please suggest?

What will be the efficiency of the regulator when operated at 7V Vin and 5V Vout?

Please suggest your answer ASAP.

1. minimum voltage required at input that is required to get 5V , 6A at regulator output is 5.35v
2. Yes, this regulator give stable output even when the battery voltage is around 5.5V or 5.6V
3. Refer to section 7.4.1 in datasheet.
4. the efficiency of the regulator when operated at 7V Vin and 5V Vout/6A is 94%
