Dear all,

I was planning the similar design as PMP7760 with 30V-800V input, but have not been able to find any specification on the transformer used in the design. according to the BOM the manufacturer is Gci Technologies and the transformer part number is G094215LF. There is no more information on TI or Gci websites.

Has anyone tried the similar design and have any information about the transformer?

I have seen another post with similar issue [Here: http://e2e.ti.com/support/power_management/isolated_controllers/f/188/p/233454/820708.aspx#820708 ],

but unfortunately there was no answer there either.

The question has been forwarded to the person that designed the PMP7760...at least I think I tracked him down. There's no information in the PMP file folder with this information so he would be the only one to really help you here.

WOW.. That was a quick response.

Thanks a lot. I have also used the Ti's "Power Stage Designer Tool" to have some idea of what the transformer might be; however it would be a good reference if we would be able to get a hold of this transformer information.

I checked Gci Technologies' website. You can find all the transformers in the TI's reference design folder. This reference design PMP7760 was created in 2009 by the National semiconductor's design team. That is why it is not in the TI reference design folder on Gci Technologies' website. I will tell Gci Technologies to add it to the folder. Sorry for the problem.

Please can anyone tell me if the PMP7763 design works?

I have done some calcs using the G094173LF Tx - The Primary Inductance of the Tx is 5.6mH with a 8:1 Ratio Inductance which equals to a 3:1 Turns Ratio.

Based on an Input Voltage of 50V (Near Minimium Voltage) - The Prim Peak Current is 49mA and with a DC of 0.65, then with a 3:1 Turns Ratio, the secondary Pk Currrent is 150mA. Using a Switching Freq of 71KHz.

There is no way based on the Switching Freq of 71KHz - can we get an output current of 0.5A@30V as per the Test Results.

If I bring the Switching Freq down to approx. 8KHz - then we can get almost 0.5A@30V and 1.5A@800V.

Can anyone please advise or help me on this??

ho appena montato il circuito, purtroppo è su breadboard ed ho problemi forse di connessioni.

Comunque posso dirti che a vuoto ho 24Vdc come da specifica. Se carico il circuito con 100Ohm (240mA) la tensione di uscita scende a 12Vdc ed il trasformatore emette un sibilo.

Credo sia un problema di controllo in corrente.
