TPS65130: TPS65130 and TPS65133 Reflow Temperature Considerations

Part Number: TPS65130
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TPS65133,

Hi Team,

I have customer having issue on TPS65130 and TPS65133. Do you know if there are any considerations need to be thinking about?

The customer is experiencing a lot of problems with TPS65130 and TPS65133. First they thought it was a design problem related, but they think is may reflow temperature related.

Peak it's supposed to be 260 degrees and they are about that on the oven, but only one of the last five samples they have survived.

So the question, how critical is reflow peak temperature to the device?

They had no time to do further tests as now they have no more spare ICs, but can a "melted" coil produce some failure on the device?

After replacing coils they got same result. And always the same, SWP and GND are in short-circuit.
