Hi,

We got a question from the customer about LM1084.
Could you help us?

How much is the start-up time of LM1084 under the following condition? I simulated by TINA-TI and the result is below figure. When they use this IC in similar condition, will the start-up time become similar time to simulation?

 VIN=17.5V
 Vout=16V

    Hi Tateo,

    We have not measured the startup time of LM1084 under your conditions, but we would expect the startup time to be similar to what is simulated. Simulations are great for providing an initial reference point of how a device works; however, keep in mind that we still recommend prototyping the application in order to get a better understanding of how the regulator will perform under your specific application conditions including parasitic caused by the layout or other factors idealized in simulation.
