Hi,

I am using a LM2735 to create a 3.3V to 22V(@200mA power supply. May i know what is the no load behavior of this boost converter? What is the minimum load to maintain the regulation? Is it possible to reduce the feedback resistors to draw some current at the output to maintain the regulation?

This device should have OVP that will allow the output to regulate with no load. As the load is reduced, the duty cycle will get smaller until the minimum is reached. At that point the switching will stop until the output is back into regulation. The minimum load before this happens will depend on Vin, Vout, and L. You can use the FB resistors to help give a minimum load, but it may be a large current. The best way is to experiment in the lab.

Hi Frank,

The max quiescent current @switching for LM2735-Y = 7mA, is it's referring to no load condition?

That is an ATE test, probably switching at min duty cycle with no external power components or load.
