Hi,
I am trying to get +-7.5V from a 5V supply. I expect the load current to be around 35mA. After looking around at components, I chose the TPS65130 for the boost converter/charge pump.
I designed the circuit for the TPS65130 based off the datasheet and followed along with its recommendations to do the calculations for the values of the resistors, capacitors, and inductors. The resulting circuit schematic and calculations are shown below. However, when I prototyped this circuit, I am getting the wrong voltages out (around +10V for Vpos and -3.5V for Vneg).
Can anyone tell me if there is something I am missing? Additionally, one thing specifically I am wondering about is the inductance values. The inductance that I calculated is much higher than the recommended range, so I took the max recommended value of 6.8uH. Could that be messing up my output voltages?
Also, I noticed there is no spice macro for this component. Does anyone know of a spice macro for TINA (or any other spice macro) that I could use to help in testing different circuits?
Thank you!
Matt
