Hello everyone,

I am using the LM5160 to create 20V and -5V isolated supply.

Vin=24V,

Soft start=30ms,

after 30ms I have resistors at output for pulsed current operation.

Now, My question is that ,why VG1(input supply) is sourcing 500mA and -500mA current ? is it normal ? you can check AM2 graph at attachment.

Are there anything wrong with that circuit ?

When I put the diode at input side I got this AM2 current graph.

Edited response.

If you have a pure voltage source with zero Independence, you will measure the pulsed current there. You will need to place some L and R in series with the V source so you will measure DC current there. Then when you measure the current at Cin, this will be pulsed. There is nothing abnormal I can see from what you have as a simulation model as it currently shows?
